In March 2018, Catholic Charities of Acadiana made the decision not to turn anyone away who came to us for shelter, regardless of our bed capacity. We offered blankets and mats for them to sleep on our shelter floor. We committed to make room at our inn for Christ. It was simply the right thing to do.
Since that day, we have welcomed an additional 40+ people over capacity each night into our downtown shelter.

About the Design:
The watercolor portrait on this card is of Sts. Louis and Zélie Martin, the first married couple to be canonized together, along with the names of their nine children, including St. Thérèse of Lisieux. Of their nine children, four of them died at a young age, and the other five all entered religious life. Each child is represented by a flower near their name, those with gold centers for their children that died at a young age, and brown centers for those that entered religious life.
The inside artwork is inspired by St. Zélie's letter to her sister-in-law, who was grieving the loss of a child through miscarriage, reflecting on her own grief of losing her son but having the confidence of seeing her children once again in Heaven.
In addition to those grieving the loss of a child, the intercession of Sts. Louis and Zélie is often prayed for marriages, parents, and healing of sick children.

Our Return Policy for Refunds or Exchanges
Returns for refund or exchange of unused, full priced and non-seasonal items are accepted within 30 days of purchase with original packaging and receipt. Items bought as a Christmas gift can be returned through January 15th.
Items cannot be returned if purchased on sale. Items cannot be returned if purchased at full price but on sale at the time of return. Items cannot be returned if used, opened, damaged, without original packaging or without a receipt. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. Store credit may be offered in certain situations.

Stella Maris Center is a hygiene facility that provides a place for individuals experiencing homelessness to take a shower, use the restroom, do laundry, and take care of other basic hygiene needs. Through partnerships with other local organizations, Stella Maris Center connects these individuals with additional resources to assist them as they find a way to regain housing.
Named after Our Lady Star of the Sea, Stella Maris Center is a safe harbor from the storms of the world. Our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness needing these basic human services will find a peace place of restoration.

About the Author
